Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for nearly 30 months with victory over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging year, achieving just one match at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-time trainer Cervara.
Now working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is the player's first championship since the Rome competition and first on a hard court from that period of 2023.
Victory also indicates the Russian has won twenty-one championships at 21 distinct events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to win a title is especially meaningful," said ranked player the champion.
"This title is in honour of my second daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I got when my child her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six title deciders, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.
Medvedev's retrieving play style and frequent reactions on the tennis court had prompted observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the top level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and compete assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
Medvedev came back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players swapped breaks in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his initial professional victory, gained dominance to push for a third set.
Moutet saved four initial opportunities in a close third set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned the win with a rally at the front of the court, with the Frenchman incapable to control a volley after a lengthy match.
