The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
